How to Become a Backcountry Jedi Master

Experience is everything. When it comes to backcountry flying, I still consider myself a young padawan. I'm blown away by the experience and know how of my backcountry mentor Kerry. At his recommendation, I ordered the legendary "Fly Idaho" and "Fly Utah." Careful study, deep respect for the backcountry and willingness to take calculated risk are needed as we grow into experienced backcountry pilots.
